Hi! I'm Jake, a software developer with a passion for advancing our understanding of, and our interaction with, these wonderful machines we call computers.
I currently work as a Senior Software Engineer at Google. I work in Android’s Engineering Productivity division, where we build and maintain the tools and infrastructure that define the Android developer experience.
I'm also a doctoral student with the Program in Applied Mathematics at the University of Arizona, working under the advisement of Dr. Misha Chertkov. My current work focuses on Probabilistic Graphical Models: their theoretical underpinnings, particularly with respect to learning models in a general setting, and their application to predicting rare events in physical systems.
